Founded in 1949, the Rappahannock Art League exists to organize, sponsor and encourage educational and cultural activities in the visual arts and crafts. The League’s activities are focused in the lower Northern Neck and lower Middle Peninsula of Virginia.

Awarded "Best in Category: Wood" at the ArtAwards 2010 Art & Fine Craft Show in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The show featured top award-winning artists from 22 states and Canada.

The Furniture Society is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996, whose mission is To advance the art of furniture making, by inspiring creativity, promoting excellence, and fostering an understanding of this art and its place in society.

Incorporated in 1997, the Artisans Center of Virginia (ACV) supports and promotes the culture of Virginia artisans through education, entrepreneurship, research, galleries and exhibitions. The Center believes that quality, handmade craft strengthens the cultural, educational and economic vitality of local communities.
