A Bit About Andy "I
design and make contemporary
custom handcrafted Virginia hardwood furniture. My furniture is
above all functional
and
beautiful as well. I relish the freedom to transform wonderful woods
into
equally wonderful pieces of custom furniture art that people can use in
their
homes
and offices. I thoroughly enjoy the collaborative effort of working
with
clients to develop furniture that they can live with and pass down
through
generations. Using primarily native Virginia
hardwoods, which I mill and dry myself from salvage trees that have
come down
in storms and such, I start every design with the intent of bringing
out the
natural beauty of those woods. I truly
believe that an artisan can unlock the wonder of the material, but that
the
synergy of the client/artisan relationship is what results in the
finest
furniture designs."
